Warranty & Policy

Clear terms for orders, shipping, returns, and product coverage—so you know exactly what to expect from the moment you place an order to years after installation.

Payment Terms

New accounts: 50% down payment on all purchases, balance due prior to shipment. Current clients: 50% down on orders over $500 (USD) and on all custom projects; balance due Net 30.

Shipping

Method

We ship via UPS, FedEx, or common carrier. For overseas shipments, we can use your preferred carrier or arrange one for you.

Shipping & Handling

Charges are separate from product pricing and are the client’s responsibility.

Returns & Cancellations

Returns

Non‑custom items may be returned within 30 days with authorization from your account manager. Returns may be subject to up to a 25% restocking fee and must be in original condition. Customer is responsible for shipping to and from Landmark Studio & Design.

We do not accept returns of custom‑manufactured items.

Cancellations

Non‑custom orders may be canceled with our consent. Orders already in production will incur charges for materials and labor to date.

Warranty Coverage

Landmark Studio & Design guarantees a one‑year manufacturing warranty on its products. If a defect in original material or workmanship appears during the warranty period, we will—at our option—repair or replace the product without charge. No cash refunds are issued.

Material Guarantees

Rinowood® (Ipé) — 25‑Year Material Guarantee

Ipé is a dense, durable hardwood. Small checks and cracks may appear and are a natural characteristic that does not affect serviceability—these are not covered under warranty.

EasyCare™ HDPE — 3‑Year Material Guarantee

Extremely durable to the elements, though exposure to sunlight may cause fading or distortion and some elements may cause staining. Fading, distortion, and staining are excluded from this warranty.

Exclusions & Limitations

  • Unreasonable, abusive, or negligent use
  • Improper placement on unleveled surfaces
  • Lack of necessary care/maintenance
  • Acts of nature (e.g., fire, flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes, tropical storms)
  • Return freight costs
  • Hardware and fasteners may rust and are not covered
  • Accessories and fabrics may carry their own manufacturer warranty

We reserve the right to ship the most current designs of our products.

Claims — Shipping Damage

Inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery. Note any shortages or visible damage on the bill of lading/delivery receipt before signing. Damage claims must be filed with the carrier.

  1. Open all packages to check for concealed damage.
  2. If the driver will not wait, note that on the delivery receipt along with any visible damage.
  3. File the claim with the carrier immediately and notify your Landmark representative.
  4. Send a signed copy of the bill of lading/delivery ticket and photos of the damage within 5–7 days of receipt. (Fax available at (262) 679‑8485.)
  5. Retain original packaging; carriers may inspect damaged freight.

Concealed damage claims can often be proven but may result in less than 100% reimbursement from the carrier.
